eTwinning

Principal function(s): Virtual Exchange

eTwinning is an online platform for staff working in schools in different European countries. It aims to be an online community for collaborating, communicating, and building projects together, such as international school partnerships. It also offers online and face-to-face opportunities for professional development via seminars, courses, conferences, and workshops. Evaluation: It can take some time to get used to the working dynamics of the platform but, once this is done, you have access to a huge range of content. eTwinning is a large community, with many things going on, so it can also be a bit overwhelming at first.

Cost: Free with registration

In this manner, it provides real-life examples of words’ and sentences’ pronunciation. Users just have to type specific phrases, watch them being used naturally in context within popular movies and TV shows, and listen to their pronunciation. Playphrase works mainly with English. Playphrase is not open-source, but it is freely available. It does not require setting up an account or signing in. ... View details
