OneNote

OneNote is a digital note-taking tool developed by Microsoft, designed to help users capture, organise, and share information across various devices. It operates as a digital notebook, allowing users to create multiple notebooks, sections, and pages for sorting their notes, drawings, and multimedia content. It also allows users to collaborate on specific files with others in real-time. While OneNote is available for free as part of the Microsoft Office suite. Signing up for a Microsoft account is necessary to access and synchronise notes across devices and to collaborate with others in real time. Evaluation: OneNote is a valuable tool for teachers, students, and users in general to create, organise, and share notes and different files. It can facilitate collaborative note-taking, project management, brainstorming and research. While it does not focus on language specifically, it can help to improve various linguistic skills, including writing and reading. It is somewhat similar to Evernote. Average IT skills required.

Medium. Microsoft, the developer of OneNote, employs user data for different purposes, among which are marketing and advertising. It takes reasonable security measures. OneNote acknowledges users’ right to control and opt out of personalised advertising and marketing communication. Playphrase is a tool that searches specific words or phrases out of movie snippets from a database of audiovisual media with over 60,000 phrases.
