OneNote

Principal function(s): Note taking

OneNote is an application from the Microsoft Office suite that can be used either on any device. OneNote is a valuable tool for saving ideas, to-do lists, or small plans. It is highly customisable and allows for sharing notes easily across different devices. Evaluation: With OneNote, users can create notes, and to-do lists, add photos, links, audio, and different kind of text formatting. Notes can then be shared with other people via e-mail, shareable links or other communication apps available on a device. It eases the note-taking process and is a practical tool to store and keep a record of users' notes. It is somewhat similar to Evernote.

Cost: Free, included in the Microsoft Office package
