MyWordle, a customizable word-guessing game

BloggingGame appsQuiz/exercise makers

Description: MyWordle allows teachers and students to create custom word-guessing games inspired by the popular game Wordle. Users can type in any word of any length and generate a unique, shareable link to the puzzle. The game is played with the classic Wordle rules: players have six attempts to guess the word, and each guess provides feedback with colored tiles (green for correct letter in the correct position, yellow for correct letter in the wrong position, and gray for an incorrect letter). The tool is designed to be a quick and easy way to create educational puzzles without requiring a user account to play.

Evaluation: MyWordle is a useful tool for teachers looking to create an engaging brain game for students. Its primary advantage is its high degree of tailorability, allowing users to create puzzles with any word of any length, which is a significant improvement over the original game's limitations. With MyWordle, it takes only seconds to generate a shareable puzzle. Unfortunately, its interface has some advertisements, which can be distracting. The game is a great way to help students practice vocabulary and spelling skills. It should be noted that this is an unofficial version of the game originally developed by Josh Wardle and acquired by the New York Times.

Cost: Free.
