AI Tutor Pro is a generative AI personalized digital tutor. It has three main features: "Check", through which students can assess their existing knowledge by replying questions posed by AI Tutor Pro; "Grow"; where they can deepen their expertise on any topic through Socratic dialogues; and “Discuss”, by means of which they can engage with the AI orally through speaking to their user device’s microphone. It facilitates engaging, open-ended conversations, in both oral and written forms, providing a privacy-friendly, easy-access, distraction-free space where students can learn concepts at their own pace. It supports over 30 languages. AI Tutor Pro is unique in that it does not require user registration, allowing for anonymous and secure access for students at different educational levels. It is developed by the AI Innovation & Development Lab at Contact North | Contact Nord, based in Canada.
Evaluation: AI Tutor Pro is a useful tool that provides three very engaging features for engaging in both oral and written conversations. Moreover, it can be adjusted to different languages, topic difficulty, and proficiency levels. While it is highly efficient for personalized learning, users should be reminded that as a generative AI tool, it may still occasionally produce inaccuracies or might not fully understand some answers. Very high. AI Tutor Pro is designed with high privacy standards; it requires no personal data and no account creation. However, it collects data from Google Analytics to improve the platform, alongside the interactions that users have with AI Tutor Pro. However, interaction logs are not shared with OpenAI (AI Tutor Pro is based on GPT-4o technology) for purposes of training its algorithmic models. Data is stored on secure servers in Canada. AI Tutor Pro acknowledges users’ rights to request the erasure of data collected about them. The platform has been deemed safe for Level 1 and Level 2 data by university security teams.
