Story creators

Description: Make Beliefs Comix is an online comic strip creator designed to facilitate creativity and storytelling. Users can choose from a variety of characters, backgrounds, objects, and speech bubbles to create their own comics. Make Beliefs Comix also offers a simple drag-and-drop interface, allowing users to easily arrange elements and customise their comics according to their preferences. Make Beliefs Comix is freely accessible to users without having an account. Users can create and download their comic strips directly from the website without any registration process. It was created by Bill Zimmerman.

Evaluation: Make Beliefs Comix is a quick and easy-to-use resource for creative writing exercises. While some set-up time is required to learn how to use the tool and produce a comic strip, it can bolster creativity and storytelling. There are lots of features to choose from, however they are not customisable. Comic length is also limited to 18 panels, which should be enough for classroom activities. In addition to English, the site accepts characters and accent marks in Spanish, French, Latin, German, Italian, Portuguese, and more. Average IT skills required.
