Bookmarking

Description: Diigo is a bookmarking tool designed that allows highlighting, annotating and organising online resources. Users can create groups and communities through which to share bookmarked links and collections. Other members can then easily comment on the links. The tool was developed by Diigo Inc. It offers both free and premium subscription options, with additional features available for paid users. Free teacher premium accounts available on request. Signing up for an account is required to access all functionalities.

Evaluation: Diigo as a digital bookmarker is a useful tool for engaged reading and making digital collections. Teachers can also create curated lists of online resources related to their lesson topics and share them with students. Diigo can also facilitate collaborative research and information sharing. Basic IT skills required.
