Romanica is a game produced by the French Ministry of Culture. It transports players into different worlds where they need to recognize the meaning of words and the language they belong to. The words are all from Romanesque languages (French, Romanian, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Catalan, Occitan and Corsican) and more words are gradually unlocked as you work through the game. While progressing through the game, cultural information is unlocked and badges are awarded.

Evaluation: It is a creative way for learners to practice and learn new vocabulary in the Romanesque languages. It can be a little difficult without prior knowledge of the language, but it is still manageable.

Cost: Free
