ANVILL, a course management tool

Course management

Description: ANVILL is a web-based tool to organise courses and facilitate text-based lessons and activities. It is designed for both blended and online environments. ANVILL displays all course information on one page or interface, never requiring more than one or two clicks to find any content. It does not require installation, but educators need to have an account for use. Free hosting is provided by the University of Oregon, which also develops the tool.

Evaluation: ANVILL is a practical and straightforward tool to manage and host courses in distance learning and blended settings. Having been developed by a nonprofit educational institution, it is a privacy-friendly alternative to other course management tools. Its interface is intuitive and easy to use. It is suitable for courses at any level and requires only basic IT skills.
