EasyPolls, a tool to create, conduct and share polls and surveys

Poll and survey creators

Description: EasyPolls is a tool for creating and conducting online polls and surveys. Users create polls by entering questions and answer options and then sharing the poll link with participants via email, social media, or other platforms. Polls can be adapted to allow multiple choice, and results can be shown in percentage or the actual vote count. Developed by EasyWebContent, EasyPolls offers a limited free version. While it does not require signing up or having an account to create a poll, participants may need to provide information to respond to the polls, depending on the settings chosen by the poll creator.

Evaluation: EasyPolls can be a helpful tool to gather feedback, opinions, and preferences. Its interface is user-friendly, both for creators and other participants. EasyPolls can also be used to test whether students are following what is being taught without examining individual knowledge. For instance, teachers could create polls with questions about related content to check whether the correct response rate is high or not.

Cost: Free with registration + paid options available.

Respect for privacy Privacy evaluations indicate how a tool handles personal data collection, storage, and sharing, including GDPR compliance and security measures, among others. The ICT-REV team provides them for informational purposes, reflecting our best understanding at the time of review, but assumes no legal responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of these evaluations and encourages users to conduct their own assessments: High. EasyPolls does not store any personal information of voters other than the IP address, which is used for anti-cheating and abuse prevention. Hence it collects the minimal data necessary for the service to function. For poll creators, it only stores email addresses for managing, editing or accessing the poll, along service-related communication if necessary. More generally, collected data is used for operational purposes, to avoid fraudulent voting, safeguarding platform security and integrity, and allow poll creators to manage their polls. Personal data is stored only as long as necessary to operate the service, and reasonable technical and organizational measures are in place to protect user data. EasyPolls acknowledges users’ rights to access, correct, delete their data, among others. It states compliance with the GDPR. See more here.
