easypolls

Principal function(s): Poll and survey creators

EasyPolls is a tool for creating and conducting online polls and surveys. Users can create polls by entering questions and answer options, and then share the poll link with participants via email, social media, or other platforms. Polls can be adapted to allow multiple choice, and results can be shown in percentage or the actual vote count. Developed by Easy WebContent, EasyPolls offers a limited free version. While it does not require signing up or having an account to create a poll, participants may need to provide information to respond to the polls, depending on the settings chosen by the poll creator. Evaluation: EasyPolls can be a helpful tool to gather feedback, opinions, and preferences. The tool's interface is user-friendly, both for creators and other participants. Easypolls can also be used to test whether students are following what is being taught without examining individual knowledge. For instance, teachers could create polls with questions about related content to check whether the correct response rate is high or not.

Cost: Free with registration + paid options available.

TaskCards (Virtual pinboard for content creation/sharing and for collaborative working)

TaskCards is a GDPR-compliant digital platform which was specifically created for educational purposes. It helps create and manage virtual pinboards, i.e. canvases where content can be uploaded and shared. Users can create and customise their pinboards by attaching text, images, videos, links and files, together with changing their background and much more. The privacy settings of these pinboards - or parts of a pinboard - can later be modified. TaskCards offers a free limited version that allows users to have up to 2 pin boards. While teachers have to register to create pinboards, learners can access them directly via link or QR code. TaskCards is developed by the German firm dSign Systems GmbH.... View details
