Welcome to the Inventory of freely available online tools and OERs for language teaching and learning developed by the ICT REV project. The tools have been selected by and for language educators. ARTE, a European broadcasting platform in six languages

Description: ARTE is a publicly-owned joint French-German TV station that provides free access to hundreds of documentaries, series, films and more. It features content in French, German, English, Spanish, Polish and Italian. Some of the materials are accessible worldwide, while others have geographical limitations due to copyright. ARTE is free and does not require having an account for use, although logging in provides access to more functionalities.

Evaluation: ARTE is a well-designed and accessible streaming service with quality content on interesting topics. It provides free access to hundreds of documentaries, films, and series in six European languages, although with geographical limitations due to copyright. Watching content on ARTE in the target language with or without subtitles is a fantastic way to access quality content while supporting a European-wide project with positive values such as gender equality and environmental protection.
