Autonomous learningAudio recording

Description: A tool to have native speakers of the target language read a text aloud for you. You submit a text file that you want native speakers to read, and receive back an audio file. Free with registration.

Evaluation: Rhinospike is a valuable tool for learners who want to improve their pronunciation skills. It is a fantastic linguistic project by volunteers who have formed a genuine community. While it may take a while to get a user to read aloud a specific passage, users can access thousands of existing recordings. Basic IT skills required.
