ESL Video, Creator of listening comprehension quizzes out of videos Creator of listening comprehension quizzes out of videos

Autonomous learningQuiz/exercise makers

Description: ESL Videos is a platform providing a collection of educational videos tailored for English language learners. Users can explore a variety of videos covering different topics, including grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and cultural aspects. They can also create their own teaching materials such as quizzes based on YouTube videos. All videos are categorised according to the levels, starting from beginning (A1) to advanced (C1), making it easy to find suitable materials. Here is an example with a video and a quiz here.. ESL Videos was developed by a team dedicated to language education and instructional design and is completely free. It does not require signing up.

Evaluation: By using real-world videos such as news, educational and inspiring talks, music videos or short clips from movies and series, ESL Video helps students work on their listening comprehension skills. Through quizzes, learners can also check their understanding and work on their grammar skills. Teachers can access materials shared by other teachers and create class codes for their videos so that they can see their students’ results. They can also create their own class page so that they can have all of their videos in one place. For more information see the user’s guide.
