Make Beliefs Comix

User-friendly website. Students can design comics using the tools provided, such as backgrounds, props and characters. Comics can be saved and printed once completed. Would be best suited for younger students, which seems to be the target audience of the style, although it has been successfully used in English as a Second Language classes with adults in the US.

Evaluation: Quick and easy to use resource for creative writing exercises. Some set up time is required to learn how to use it. There are lots of features to choose from, however they are not customisable. Comic length is also limited to 18 panels, however this should be enough for the purpose of classroom activities. In addition to English, the site accepts characters and accent marks from languages such as Spanish, French, Latin, German, Italian and Portuguese, with a plan to add more.

Cost: Free
