Netvibes

Netvibes is a personalised dashboard that allows users to monitor users’ content of interest. Users can create their own dashboards of information from different websites (e.g. news sites, blogs, social media, etc.). The service is also available on mobile devices. Registration is required. Evaluation: A practical platform to keep track of resources from multiple websites on a single platform. Students and/or teachers can access materials in their target language easily and organise them (e.g. language-learning sites, online dictionaries etc.). It can be an easy, engaging and efficient way to promote autonomous learning. Basic IT skills are required for its use.

Medium. Netvibes, owned by Dassault Systèmes (3DS) collects different types of data for purposes of communication, marketing, and improving user experience). It collects cookies and shares information with third parties, including targeted advertisements. Netvibes’ privacy policy states that 3DS maintains technical and organizational measures to protect personal data from loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. It also mentions that users can exercise their rights (e.g., access, rectify, delete) by logging into their accounts or by submitting requests. Netvibes’ privacy policy complies with the GDPR. Playphrase (Tool to find the pronunciation of words from movies )

Playphrase is a tool that searches specific words or phrases out of movie snippets from a database of audiovisual media with over 60,000 phrases. In this manner, it provides real-life examples of words’ and sentences’ pronunciation.
