How Strange!

Send us your anecdotes!
How Strange! To acquire a new language also means to experience a new culture, and hence learning a foreign language is now understood as the simultaneous acquisition of both communicative and cultural competences. The aim of this project is to describe a small data base of anecdotes that exemplify the kind of intercultural failures that speakers of foreign languages experience. This is intended to serve as a useful tool in foreign language learning.
Please give all the information you think relevant to the experience, especially in order to explain how/why it was strange to you or to others, and about the general feelings of those involved.
