Mindomo, a collaborative mind mapping tool

Mind mappingPoster/infographic creators

Description: Mindomo is a tool for creating mind maps and putting together organigrams, allowing users to organise ideas, concepts, and information in a structured and interactive way. Users can create mind maps by adding nodes, branches, colours, images, icons, and links to represent relationships and connections between elements. The platform offers various features such as text formatting, task management, collaboration tools, and presentation mode to enhance the usability and functionality of mind maps. Moreover, it facilitates the transformation of mind maps into dynamic presentations (similar to Prezi). Mindomo offers a limited free version and requires users to sign up for an account to create and edit mind maps, together with collaborating with others. However, viewers can access Mindomos without one. It was developed by a team of software developers and designers based in Timisoara, Romania.

Evaluation: Mindomo is a valuable and user-friendly tool with an intuitive interface. It can be used by teams, educators, and students for many purposes, including brainstorming, project planning, note-taking, and collaborative problem-solving. Therefore, it can boost creativity, organisation, and collaboration. The free version allows keeping up to just 3 maps simultaneously, hence limiting its usability.

Cost: Free limited version + premium plans available.
