The Conference brings together teachers, researchers, practitioners and project managers from all over the world to share findings, expertise and experience about innovative teaching and learning methodologies.
Three days of inspiring sessions in the framework of a highly interactive onsite and online Conference experience. There will be five presentation modalities: Oral (onsite/online), Poster (onsite/online), Asynchronous (online).
All accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings with ISBN, ISSN and DOI codes. The publication will be included in Academia and indexed in Google Scholar. The Proceedings will be sent to be reviewed for inclusion in Web of Science and SCOPUS.

The XIth EDILIC conference examines innovative approaches to plurilingual literacy, recognizing and embracing the rich diversity of learners, teachers and educators, as well as non-formal and informal communities and contexts. It aims to explore diverse theoretical, methodological and practical perspectives on plurilingual literacy in education, encompassing both traditional classrooms and wider societal contexts.

At the 22nd EFNIL conference, the tension zone between language norms and linguistic justice will be explored, addressing aspects such as:

Historical and political aspects

• Language standardisation through standardisation bodies and codification
• Exonormative and endonormative standards; dominance and non-dominance of languages and varieties
• Historical and/or post-colonial perspectives on linguistic justice Legal aspects
• Linguistic human rights
• Legal aspects related to language proficiency testing, residence rights and citizenship
• Equal opportunity issues and barriers due to linguistic power relations and language norms in education and careers

Globalisation

• English as a lingua franca or global language
• Cross-linguistic or cross-national networks and collaborations for the promotion and preservation of languages and linguistic justice
• Globalization and marginalization related to languages or speaker groups Inclusion and exclusion
• Privilege and discrimination in relation to norms and deviance; native speakerism and indexicality/accentism
• National policies with regard to hate speech, gender inclusion and inclusion of citizens through plain language Media and artificial intelligence
• Language norms in the media
• Artificial intelligence and its potential as an aid or as an obstacle to linguistic justice

The conference aims to reflect on plurilingual educational practices, perceptions of plurilingualism and plurilingual education, and the role of plurilingualism in educational policies. Particular attention will be paid to the relationship between research, policies and practices.

The colloquium therefore intends to address educational policies as much as actual classroom practices and the training of (future) teaching staff. It is also interested in the theoretical issues and controversies surrounding the key concepts on which plurilingual education is based (language, plurilingualism/multilingualism, inter/transculturalism, translanguaging, etc.), the representations of those involved in this form of education, and the development, implementation, and evaluation of existing and emerging didactic approaches.
