Wordwall, a creator of interactive activities

Description: Wordwall is an online platform for creating learning activities. It provides users with a variety of customisable templates and tools to design quizzes, word games, maze chases, and much more. Users can also create their own activities from scratch. Moreover, most activities on Wordwall can be used in both interactive and printable formats. Wordwall offers a limited free version and requires registration for resource creation. It was developed by Josh Smith, an educator based in the United Kingdom.

Evaluation: Wordwall is a practical and easy-to-use tool for creating interactive activities for classroom use. It offers a wide variety of activities to choose from and makes learning more entertaining while allowing teachers to assess students’ knowledge through different activity types. Furthermore, it is available in many languages. One of Wordwall’s drawbacks is that users can create only up to 4 activities with a free account. Afterwards, activities must be deleted to make space for new ones.

It uses cookies to enhance user experience on the website. Concerning security, Wordwall securely stores user data on database servers operated by Microsoft (Azure), and all remote access is conducted over HTTPS, ensuring data is transmitted securely.
