Analyze My Writing

Principal function(s): Autonomous learning

Analyze My Writing is an online text content and readability analyser. By copying a text into the homepage, users can visualise extensive information about the text, including the word and character count and length, the readability of a text, and more. It also provides useful articles and references for information on readability and lexical density. Evaluation: A free-to-use and valuable tool to gather data about a text. A useful function is to create a word cloud with the most used words or even Cloze tests that measure students’ reading skills and their level of expertise regarding a topic. Analyze my Writing is mainly thought for texts in English, but it might be used for other languages as well. It is overall an easy-to-use, completely free tool that does not gather any personal data or cookies.

Playphrase (Tool to find the pronunciation of words from movies )

Playphrase is a tool that searches specific words or phrases out of movie snippets from a database of audiovisual media with over 60,000 phrases. Playphrase is not open-source, but it is freely available. It does not require setting up an account or signing in. ... View details
