Analyze My Writing, text content and readability analyser

Autonomous learning

Description: Analyze My Writing is an online text content and readability analyser. By copying a text into the homepage, users can visualise extensive information about it, including word and character count and length, the readability of a text, and more. It also provides useful articles and references for information on readability and lexical density. Analyze My Writing is free and does not require having an account for use.

Evaluation: Analyze My Writing is a valuable tool to gather data about a text. A useful function is to create a word cloud with the most used words or even Cloze tests that measure students’ reading skills and their level of expertise regarding a topic. Analyze my Writing is mainly thought for texts in English, but it might be used for other languages as well. It is overall an easy-to-use, completely free tool that does not gather any personal data or cookies. Another similar tool is VersaText.

Respect for privacy Privacy evaluations indicate how a tool handles personal data collection, storage, and sharing, including GDPR compliance and security measures, among others. The ICT-REV team provides them for informational purposes, reflecting our best understanding at the time of review, but assumes no legal responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of these evaluations and encourages users to conduct their own assessments: Medium. Spotify for Podcasters collects personal information including user data (name, email, date of birth, country), usage data (actions within the service, content creation), and additional data voluntarily provided by users. This information is used for many purposes, including marketing and security. User data is stored securely with measures such as pseudonymisation and encryption. Spotify for Podcasters shares user data with service providers, payment partners, marketing partners, law enforcement, and in certain business transactions. It complies with data protection laws like the GDPR, acknowledging users’ rights to access, rectify, erase, and restrict their data. See more here.
