Digital whiteboardsMind mappingPoll and survey creatorsVirtual pinboards

Description: Flinga is a web-based platform for collaborative learning and sharing ideas using interactive tools. It offers two main tools: the Flinga Whiteboard and the Flinga Wall. The Flinga Whiteboard is for brainstorming content and lesson delivery, while the Flinga Wall is used for interaction with learners and for collecting feedback. Both tools facilitate real-time collaboration, enabling participants to work simultaneously. Flinga does not require participants to sign up, although session creators need an account to manage activities. It is developed by the Finnish company Nordtouch.

Evaluation: Flinga provides two useful tools that can be used to facilitate interactive lessons, group projects, and class discussions, enhancing student engagement and participation. The platform can be used to develop writing, critical thinking, and collaboration skills. It requires basic IT skills, as it is user-friendly and accessible.

Cost: Free.

Respect for privacy Privacy evaluations indicate how a tool handles personal data collection, storage, and sharing, including GDPR compliance and security measures, among others. Participants accessing sessions via shared links do not need to provide or generate personal data. Nordtouch uses necessary cookies and anonymous usage data to monitor service quality. In the event of a data breach, Nordtouch commits to notifying affected users and authorities within 72 hours. Registered users can manage the visibility of their boards and delete their accounts and all associated data via platform settings; this data is then permanently erased from all systems (including backups) within at least one month.
