Radio Garden

Principal function(s): Streaming/radio services

Radio Garden is an online tool that allows users to explore live radio stations worldwide by navigating a 3D globe interface. Users can simply rotate the globe to select a country and tune into available radio stations in that region, or type the name of a specific radio station. Radio Garden is free to use and does not require signing up or having an account. It was developed by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, in collaboration with Studio Puckey. Evaluation: Radio Garden is a handy tool for students to practise and improve their listening and pronunciation skills by listening to radio programmes, music, interviews, and much more by exposing themselves to authentic audio material in their target language.
