Radio Garden, a platform to listen to radio stations globally
Description: Radio Garden is an online tool that allows users to explore live radio stations worldwide by navigating a 3D globe interface. Users can simply rotate the globe to select a country and tune into available radio stations in that region or type the name of a specific radio station. Radio Garden is free to use and does not require signing up or having an account. It was developed by the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision, in collaboration with Studio Puckey.
Evaluation: Radio Garden is a handy tool for students to practise and improve their listening and pronunciation skills by listening to radio programmes, music, interviews, and much more by exposing themselves to authentic audio material in their target language.

Privacy evaluations indicate how a tool handles personal data collection, storage, and sharing, including GDPR compliance and security measures, among others. The ICT-REV team provides them for informational purposes, reflecting our best understanding at the time of review, but assumes no legal responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of these evaluations and encourages users to conduct their own assessments: Medium/high. Radio Garden does not require login but collects various types of data, including some personal data such as usage and location data or cookies. The platform cooperates with third-party service providers, such as Google Analytics and Google AdSense, and displays targeted advertisements on its starting interface. Radio Garden makes efforts to protect user data and mentions directing traffic through Cloudflare for performance and overload protection.
