Poll Everywhere, a poll, survey and quiz creator

Poll and survey creators

Description: Poll Everywhere is a tool that allows presenters to create interactive polls, quizzes, and surveys for live audiences. Participants can respond to questions using their mobile devices or computers, while results are displayed in real time, and can later be downloaded. Poll Everywhere offers a limited free account where users may record up to 25 responses per poll, without including its grading functionality. It requires having an account for poll creators. Poll Everywhere was developed by Jeff Vyduna, Brad Gessler, and Sean Eby.

Evaluation: Poll Everywhere is a valuable tool for getting immediate feedback in the classroom, conducting quizzes, and more. It is useful for making in-person teaching more engaging. Poll Everywhere includes many functionalities, but a substantial downside is that its free version is quite limited.

Cost: Free with registration + paid plans available.

Respect for privacy Privacy evaluations indicate how a tool handles personal data collection, storage, and sharing, including GDPR compliance and security measures, among others. The ICT-REV team provides them for informational purposes, reflecting our best understanding at the time of review, but assumes no legal responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of these evaluations and encourages users to conduct their own assessments: Medium/high. Poll Everywhere collects various types of user information, including name and email address, or browser type. Users can decide whether to consent to email lists and marketing communications, from which they can unsubscribe at any time. It does not share or sell user information with third parties for commercial purposes. Poll Everywhere mentions implementing industry-standard security measures to protect personal information from access and loss. It acknowledges users’ right to access, modify or delete their data and states compliance with the GDPR. See more here and here.
