Wooclap, an interactive audience response tool for interactive lessons and meetings

Description: Wooclap is a platform for enhancing audience participation during presentations, lectures, and meetings. It offers over 20 question types, including multiple-choice, word clouds, and open-ended questions, helping design dynamic and interactive events. Participants can then answer questions anonymously or through a nickname. Wooclap integrates with tools like PowerPoint, Zoom, and various Learning Management Systems (LMS), facilitating its incorporation into existing workflows. It also allows importing slides. Participants can join sessions by scanning a QR code or entering an event code on their smartphones, tablets, or computers. Additionally, Wooclap provides analytics to measure audience responses. Wooclap was launched in 2015, founded by Jonathan Alzetta and Sébastien Lebbe, engineers from the École Polytechnique in Brussels.

Evaluation: Wooclap is a useful and practical tool for educators and trainers for designing interactive lessons and fostering active participation while getting immediate feedback. So, it can help boost participation, check students' understanding, and encourage discussions. Since answers can be submitted anonymously, teachers can ask questions like whether students have completed their homework or grasped the lesson, while students can respond honestly without fear of being singled out. Its user-friendly interface and diverse question formats make it suitable for various educational settings. It is a valid alternative to Mentimeter.
