Word Search Labs, a word search puzzle creator

Crossword puzzle creators

Description: Word Search Labs is an online platform for creating and solving custom word search puzzles. Users can generate word search puzzles by using a series of tools and inputting their own words or predefined lists, together with configuring puzzle directions and size. Word Search Labs also features a range of ready-made word search puzzles on many different subjects. It is free to use and does not require users to sign up for an account. Word Search Labs was built by Matt Johnson in 2013.

Evaluation: Word Search Labs is a straightforward and effective tool to create word search puzzles. It can help practice vocabulary, reinforce spelling, or simply be used as entertainment.

Cost: Free.

Respect for privacy Privacy evaluations indicate how a tool handles personal data collection, storage, and sharing, including GDPR compliance and security measures, among others. The ICT-REV team provides them for informational purposes, reflecting our best understanding at the time of review, but assumes no legal responsibility for the accuracy or completeness of these evaluations and encourages users to conduct their own assessments: High (?). Word Search Labs collects information posted or sent on the site, credit card data, web log data, cookies, and data from third parties. Yet, providing this data is optional since the tool does not request personal information from users unless they decide to sign up or log in. In such cases, data is used to provide/improve services, combat fraud/abuse, and is not shared for marketing purposes. This is stored for business purposes and as required by law in the United States. Word Search Labs’ privacy policy lacks important information on security, among others.
