Wakelet, a content curation and organisation platform

BookmarkingVirtual pinboards

Description: Wakelet is a platform where users can save links, posts from social media, pictures, and videos and organize them into collections or Wakelets. They can also invite other people to collaborate and work together on the same Wakelet by sharing an access code. Wakelets can be set as public or private and shared with a single link. It offers a limited yet quite comprehensive free version and requires users to sign up for an account to create Wakelets but not to visualise them.

Evaluation: Wakelet is useful for organising and saving multimedia content in one place. Both its browser and app versions are user-friendly and allows communication between students. For teachers, it is a great tool to display different materials in a single interface, articulating some kind of course syllabus or index.

Cost: Free limited version + paid plans available.
