Description: Flipgrid is an interactive video sharing platform for educational use. Teachers create groups on their Flipgrid profile that students then join, posting different discussion topics in the form of short videos of up to 5 minutes. Students can react to them and also reply to one another, creating a wider discussion. Flipgrid is completely free but requires having an account for use. It is a Microsoft subsidiary.
Evaluation: Flipgrid is a valuable and easy-to-use tool with a straightforward interface. It can be very helpful for distance or hybrid learning arrangements, and can foster engagement and collaboration. Average IT skills required.
