It is free to use and does not require signing up or having an account to download images, but creating an account allows users to contribute to the platform by uploading their own content. Pixabay was developed by Hans Braxmeier and Simon Steinberger. Other similar options are Pexels, Freepik, or Unsplash, but we especially recommend Photos For Class since it is specifically designed for classroom use.
