Moodle e-ELP platform
There are six sections currently on the Moodle page. Firstly, there is CEFR and how it relates to sign language. There is a link that brings you to the newly updated and detailed Descriptors 2020. Please feel free to take a look. Secondly, find your level following the CEFR companion volume. Are you at A1 or B2? Take a look at the tier linked to your level and examine the competencies and descriptors. All the information surrounding the relevant tiers are outlined in great detail. The third section is the ‘Language Passport’, that is linked to the Europass CV. It could be that you already have skills in a language, for example Spanish Sign Language. In Europass you can state that your Spanish Sign Language skills are at B2 level according to CEFR. Equally, you can state you are at A1 level in British Sign Language. Europass is linked to the e-Portfolio, which will show your language competencies. Language Biography is the fourth section where you can add your language learning to date. Next we have the Dossier; all materials are uploaded to this section. Last but not least is Reflection, which allows you to consider how you learn language and reflect on how good or bad your internal processes are. All six of these sections will be explained in further detail.
