Expected project results
We will focus on innovative processes which facilitate the crossing of linguistic and cultural borders and on the development of CLIL methodology in professional settings, connecting research to real needs on the ground.
Within this project, guidelines and training modules for plurilingual and intercultural teaching and learning will be developed and piloted in the project's border regions. Furthermore, a teacher portfolio will be developed on basis of the European Language Portfolio (ELP). The outputs will be compiled in a manual for educators in cross-border environments, working with younger learners in vocational education or with adults in professional education.
Besides the main target groups (teachers and learners), cooperation will be established with existing authorities involved in cross-border activities, especially in relation to the job market, as well as with similar institutions in the different border regions. The long-term aim of the project aims is to bring together researchers and practitioners as well as political, economic and educational stakeholders.
