This school year, for the first time, bilingual learners have enrolled at your school. Their skills in the language of schooling are not sufficient for entering the mainstream classes without language support. Consequently, the subject teachers have begun to pre-teach them vocabulary, but that is not enough. What recommendations or tips would you give to the teachers to help these L2 students to read, write, understand, speak, think and live autonomously in an L2?
