Blogger, a blogging tool by Google

Blogging

Description: Blogger is a web-based blogging platform, through which users can publish and share their thoughts, opinions, and content online on personalised blog websites. They can create posts, upload media, customise the design and layout of their blogs, and interact with their audience through comments and others. Blogger is free but requires an account. It was developed by Pyra Labs and later acquired by Google.

Evaluation: Blogger is a valuable and versatile tool for learners and teachers since it provides a platform for creating and sharing educational content in various formats. It can bolster writing and argumentation skills and provide learners with a medium to communicate with one another. As with any other blogging tool, interaction is possible through the commenting function, which makes it fitting for asynchronised group work and discussions. Access to a Blogger channel or post can be configured from public to private or unlisted (accessible only through a URL).

Cost: Free with registration.
