The European Link of Educators of Portuguese as a Heritage Language (ELO EUROPEU) was created on 24 October 2013 by educators Adenilson Pereira, Andréa Menescal, Juliana Azevedo Gomes and Maria José Maciel who, inspired by the 1st SEPOLH that was held in London, decided to join forces to mobilise educators and practitioners of Portuguese as a heritage language throughout Europe. The organisation operated informally between 2013 and 2019 and was officially registered as a non-governmental organisation on 01.11.2019 in Norway. Today, its activities cover not only Europe but also other regions of the world. The European Link focuses on three areas of activity: representation, training and dissemination. The area of representation includes working together with other POHL initiatives in order to increase the representativeness and therefore the importance of POHL with the competent authorities, as well as serving as an instrument for POHL claims to be prioritised both publicly and privately. The training area aims to promote the professionalisation of POHL teaching and includes awareness-raising and training activities for educators, carried out on their own initiative and through partnerships, including cultural events. Finally, the area of dissemination is aimed at spreading the word about POLH activities in a general sense, contributing to a greater expansion of POHL on a local and global level.

The UWC International Educational Coordinating Council (IECC) aims to coordinate the educational process in the diaspora and works closely with educational institutions to further the development of Ukrainian education and nurture the Ukrainian national identity outside Ukraine. This involves unifying and engaging teachers, parents and other interested parties in the nurturing and education of self-identifying and creative generations of Ukrainians. The Council also supports education reform in Ukraine, specifically engaging in the enhancement of curriculum and organizing professional development for educators.

The education desk enables educational projects for the Brazilian community living in the Netherlands, covering the continuous, meaningful and interdisciplinary teaching-learning process. - Provides access to educational projects in Brazilian Portuguese, including activities and workshops in favour of POLH (Portuguese as a Heritage Language) and PLE (Portuguese as a Foreign Language); - Maps, catalogues and supports the dissemination of activities of initiatives, interest groups and non-profit foundations already active in the field of education and teaching of Brazilian Portuguese in the Netherlands; - Promotes and publicises ENCCEJA education; - Requests that the Netherlands become a testing centre for the celpe-bras proficiency exam, joining the 11 that already exist in Europe; - Works in partnership with other bureaux of the CCPB - Netherlands Citizenship Council and CRBE, on interdisciplinary activities and proposals.

The Agrupación de Lengua y Cultura Española en los Países Bajos (ALCE) is a programme of the Spanish Ministry of Education, which is part of the diplomatic mission of the Spanish Embassy in the Netherlands, through its Department of Education and advised by the Technical Advisory Office of Education in Amsterdam. The main objective of the Agrupación is to promote cultural and linguistic links between students of Spanish origin, citizens or residents of the Netherlands, and our country, as well as the acquisition of habits of coexistence and mutual respect, in addition to facilitating the knowledge of Spanish and Spanish socio-cultural reality.

ISEA is a voluntary association of Slovak education centres, established on the initiative of representatives of Slovak community centres abroad, who met at the 1st meeting of the Commission for Education and Training of the Western Europe and Overseas Section of the Office for Slovaks Living Abroad. The association's goals are to support and develop the education of Slovaks living abroad in their mother tongue and to build cooperation between individual educational centres. They ensure this goal through: coordination of cooperation between member centres that fall within the field of non-formal education of children; exchanging experiences in the field of education of children for whom Slovak is a second language; and implementing joint projects.

The Polish Educational Society is a charitable organisation supporting Polish education in the United Kingdom and an association for Polish supplementary schools and individuals involved in the teaching of the Polish language and popularising the knowledge of Polish culture in the UK. At present, it works with 130 Polish Language Saturday Schools in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Channel Islands. PES offers a wide range of support to all involved in the setting up and running of Polish Supplementary Schools. It also runs an Examination Centre where students are able to sit Polish Language examinations at GCSE and A-level. The organisation promotes Polish education and culture internationally by co-operating with organisations in the United Kingdom, Europe and the United States and represents the interests of Polish education abroad.

APPLA is a non-profit organisation founded in 2014 in Edinburgh, the capital of Scotland, by enthusiasts for whom the Polish language. Its aim is to take care of the continuity and beauty of the Polish language among the Polish community, to support Polish education and to promote Polish as a foreign language among native speakers of other languages. We pursue these objectives by initiating and co-creating educational and social projects and by cooperating with the Polish diaspora, and foreign and international organisations.

The Forum of Polish Schools in the Netherlands (FPSN) was founded on 30 September 1995 on the initiative of the boards of 5 Polish schools and with encouragement from the Polish Embassy under the motto "Together we are stronger". Its goals are: to nurture and promote the Polish language, Polish culture and traditions in the Netherlands by organising and/or supporting activities aimed at promoting the integration of the Polish school community as well as acquaintance, tolerance and understanding between Poles and the Dutch and ensuring the welfare of this population group; providing didactic and organisational support to Polish Schools in the Netherlands by, among other things, cooperating with other Polish and Dutch organisations in both Poland and the Netherlands.

ESI is a non-profit organisation based in the Netherlands, which is part of the circuit of organisations recognised by the Italian government within the framework of the 'System of Italian Education in the World' and which receives contributions from it for the dissemination of Italian language and culture abroad. For more than 25 years, ESI has been training children, adolescents and adults in the Italian language in the Netherlands through courses organised to meet the needs of the local Italian communities or communities of Italian origin and of all those who wish to learn the Italian language. The courses are organised in any Dutch city where there is sufficient demand, at Dutch and international schools, or a distance in online mode.

The purpose of FLAM Monde is to federate member associations whose main mission is to teach and maintain French as a mother tongue, or "FLAM", for children and adolescents living abroad who are not enrolled in French schools, and who have legal personality under the national law of the country where their head office is located. FLAM Monde develops any action enabling this objective to be achieved, encourages and supports the creation of new FLAM associations, advises them on pedagogical and administrative management, leads the network of associations for French as a mother tongue (FLAM), and informs on current events and issues relating to the teaching of French as a mother tongue,

The Greek Parents Association (GPA) was established in 1952 by the Cypriot poet Tefkros Anthias and a small group of Cypriot immigrants. The GPA's original aim was to promote the welfare and education of what was then the first generation of Cypriot immigrants to Britain. Over the years the services that the GPA provides have been adapted to the changing needs of our community. The need for advisory services and the teaching of English has diminished over the years and our focus has been concentrated on assisting our British-born community members to maintain and enhance their connection to Cyprus and Greece to learn the Greek language, culture, history, customs and religion and by doing so become more confident and proud regarding their roots and background. By providing these services to our community, the GPA is able to help the Cypriots in London to realise their full potential through the provision of language skills, instilling of cultural awareness, promotion of racial harmony and developing a sense of social responsibility to enable them to become fully involved, responsible members of society in Britain. These services are in a sense a long-term investment in people, enabling them to develop a sense of inclusion and engendering a greater social responsibility and self-improvement.

The purpose of the Finnish Schools is to support bilingual children’s language learning and the expatriate children about Finnish culture. The Finnish Schools strengthen the Finnish identity of those living in Britain, especially the identity of children of British-Finnish families. The Finnish Schools are important cultural hubs for all local Finns, Finnish-British families, and friends of Finland. The purpose of the Finnish Schools is: to support language learning in the Finnish-British families; strengthen the Finnish identity; provide information about Finland, Finnish history and geography; offer Finnish language training for children and adults. Currently, there are around 20 Finnish Schools operating in the United Kingdom and their sizes vary from ten pupils to almost one hundred pupils. All in all, there are approximately 500 pupils, 200 adult learners, and 70 teachers in the Finnish Schools in the UK.

EDUFI promotes the development of education and the internationalisation of Finnish society. It supports development, experimental and start-up projects in education with government subsidies and advances the internationalisation of Finnish society by coordinating international traineeship, exchange and scholarship programmes. The EDUFI is responsible for implementing and providing information about the European Union's programmes in our field in Finland. EDUFI is a part of several international information sharing networks that produce information about, for example, education and youth work in different countries.

The Foundation for Dutch Education Worldwide (Stichting Nederlands Onderwijs in het Buitenland, or NOB) is a non-profit organisation that has been facilitating their smooth transition into the Dutch education system since 1980. The Ministry of Education, Culture and Science has commissioned NOB to promote and support high standards of Dutch education for Dutch-speaking children around the world.

LanguageOne is the largest provider of Dutch language education worldwide. They can provide in-class, online and blended learning all over the world. They use innovative learning tools and cooperate with (inter)national partners. IVIO-LanguageOne aims to enhance pupils’ knowledge and skills through innovative education. They provide education to students in an international environment and pay attention to the development of their identity, culture and global citizenship.

Danes Worldwide aims to help Danes get settled in a new country without forgetting their roots by offering online Danish Courses and an annual Summer School; advisory service regarding settling abroad and returning to Denmark; and a network for Danes abroad to each other with other Danes. In addition, they advocate for the interests of Danes abroad in such matters as dual citizenship, family reunification, and the right to vote in parliamentary elections in Denmark.

CBSH is a non-governmental organisation that teaches children with Czech roots Czech language and Czech realities, with a standard of high quality of teaching comparable to schools in the Czech Republic. They are active in many countries all around Europe.

The Home / Heritage / Community Languages Advisory Group is an informal standing group hosted by the British Council and ALL (who also share the Chairing and Secretariat). Members are invited for their broad experience rather than being tasked with representing/advocating for particular languages. The group is a focal point for strategic and practical issues relating to Home / Heritage / Community Languages in mainstream and supplementary education and other settings. The membership is a collaborative working community of institutions and individuals who have related knowledge and expertise. In short, it exists to support and advocate for Home / Heritage / Community Languages.

HLE Network's mission is to increase and improve opportunities for multilingual children to further develop the language(s) they speak at home through an effective educational program. This education should support them in their identity development so that they can grow up confidently and integrate into local society. We aim to promote and improve heritage language (HL) education in the Eindhoven region and beyond. They seek to achieve their objectives by: ensuring that accurate information about available HL programs is visible and easy to find; creating a sense of community between HL programs, where achievements can be celebrated, appreciation can be shown for their work, and challenges can be discussed; organizing professional development activities or research projects with the aim of maintaining/improving the quality, success, and sustainability of HL programs; informing and reaching out to the public about the importance of understanding, recognizing, valuing, and supporting HL education; and forming meaningful partnerships with other organizations

Móðurmál has offered instruction in over twenty languages (other than Icelandic) for plurilingual children since 1994. The Sports and Leisure Council of Reykjavík (Íþrótta og tómstundaráð Reykjavíkur) and later the School and Leisure Department of Reykjavík (Skóla og frístundasvið Reykjavíkurborgar) have supported and have partially funded the program, as have other tuition waivers and grants. Volunteers and parents do the lion´s share of the valuable work. Móðurmál has set itself the following goals: supporting multiple language groups and mother tongue teachers; partnering with parents of plurilingual children and creating opportunities for children to learn all their mother tongues; taking part in research on bilingualism and mother tongues; developing mother tongue instruction; and supporting active bilingualism in Icelandic society.

IMIB is a project by the city of Freiburg that supports multilingualism and interculturalism. They support many different projects. An example of that is providing mentors for newly emigrated families in Freiburg, with the goal of aiding their integration.

MORGEN is the umbrella organisation of migrant organisations in Munich with the aim of strengthening, promoting and making visible the participation and commitment of people with a migration background. MORGEN was founded in 2013 and comprises over 105 member organisations with more than 60 different languages. The board, elected for two years at a time, shapes the present and future of MORGEN together with thematic working groups, member groups and many active members. The office coordinates MORGEN's projects and offers and takes care of concerns and enquiries. In addition, the support of our supporters and partners is very important to us.
