Professional background
Experienced in majority language teaching
•    teacher educators
•    teachers supervising trainee teachers
•    teachers and other experts involved in in-service training
”Majority language” refers to languages such as English as a mother tongue / official language in the UK, French in France, Polish in Poland, Greek in Greece etc.
Experience, competences required
It is highly recommended that the participants
•    have experience in multilingual settings, and
•    communication skills either in English or German.
Expected involvement/tasks before, during and after the event
Before:
•    Familiarise yourself with the majority language curriculum used in lower secondary school (ages 13–16) in your country, region or school: summarise 5 main objectives of the curriculum and reflect on 3–5 elements which promote plurilingualism. Summaries should be written in English or German and sent in a week before the workshop. You may choose to ask local majority language teachers for their perspective on this issue.
•    Look for any statistics relating to linguistic diversity in your area. Bring the results with you.
During:
•    Present the results of the above preparatory tasks in small groups in English or in German;
•    Contribute to the development of project materials;
•    Discuss and evaluate the materials and information presented.
After:
•    Disseminate the project and the outcomes of the workshop in your national or local networks;
•    Strengthen ties with professional networks.
