Prezi

Principal function(s): Slide presentingGroup/pair work - classmatesPresenting (e.g. lecturing, storytelling)TeacherStudentYou Supply

Prezi is a tool for creating interactive presentations. Instead of using traditional slides, Prezi is based on a zooming interface to navigate through content on a virtual canvas. Users can add text, images, videos, and other multimedia elements to their presentations. Prezi has also developed an AI-powered functionality to create slides by writing a prompt. It offers both free and paid versions. Signing up for an account is required for use. Prezi was founded in 2009 by Adam Somlai-Fischer, Peter Halacsy, and Peter Arvai. Evaluation: Prezi is a valuable tool for producing interactive and visual presentations. Its zooming user interface differentiates it from other similar tools. The free version allows storing a few presentations that can be accessed on any device, yet not downloaded. A downside of Prezi’s free version is that presentations can be found and accessed by any user.

Cost: Free public account + paid premium plans.
