Kits Tools is a collection of eight free, open-source digital tools for QR storing, mind mapping, collaborative writing, word cloud creating, drawing, brainstorming, pictogram searching, and video editing. These tools are accessible directly through the Kits website and can be used without signing up or creating an account. Each tool comes with scientifically grounded methodological and didactic hints to help integrate them into various learning contexts. They do not require logging in or creating an account for use. The Kits team, mostly made up of language and media educators, develops and continuously improves these tools, and welcomes proposals for collaboration. Kits Tools is a similar initiative to La Digitale, but only in German.
Evaluation: Kits Tools is a valuable, open-source, privacy-friendly toolbox specially made for and by educators. It is a great alternative to similar tools that gather personal data, and it is certain it will remain free and accessible.

Very high. Kits does not collect personal data for use, and does not require registration for use. Personal data is only temporarily stored for communication, project participation, and providing internet services, without merging with other data or sharing with third parties besides QRStorage's speech synthesis. The project adheres to data minimization principles, promoting digital sovereignty and the right to informational self-determination. For collaborative functions, data is safely stored on servers located in Germany. Kits acknowledges users rights to export or delete their data and have control over privacy settings.
