Supporting multilingual classrooms*

This initiative provides training workshops to help member states ensure access to quality education for all learners in multilingual classrooms, from newly arrived migrant learners to those whose families migrated generations ago, as well as enhancing the education of children from non-migration backgrounds. In recognising the central role played by highly developed plurilinguistic competences as key transversal competences to support learning, employability, social cohesion and the well-being of all, we address the issue of inclusion as well as the importance of plurilingual and intercultural competences for democratic culture.
