ANVILL

Principal function(s):

ANVILL is a web-based tool to organise courses and facilitate text-based lessons and activities. It is designed for both blended and online environments. ANVILL displays all course information on one page or interface, never requiring more than one or two clicks to find any piece of content. It does not require installation, but educators must have an account for use. Free hosting is provided by the University of Oregon, which also develops ANVILL. Evaluation: ANVILL is a practical and straightforward tool to manage and host courses in distance learning and blended settings. Having been developed by a nonprofit educational institution, it is a privacy-friendly alternative to other course management tools. Its interface is intuitive and easy to use. It is suitable for courses at any level and requires only basic IT skills.

Cost: Free.
