Book Creator is a digital tool for creating and publishing multimedia books by combining text, images, audio, and video. Once a book is ready, it can be shared by email, file-sharing websites such as Dropbox, posted online, or published as an eBook or PDF file. Book Creator allows for collaborative digital book creation. It offers a limited free version but requires an account for creation. Book Creator was developed by Tools for Schools.

High. Book Creator collects account data, device and usage data, geolocation data, and diagnostic data, alongside user content. This is yet only for operational and security purposes. Book Creator does not employ user data for targeted advertising, tracking, or marketing. It shares data with third parties only for operational purposes and thus does not sell or share user data for marketing purposes. Student-made books are private by default. Book Creator employs industry best practices regarding security, including data encryption during transit and storage. However, it uses Google Cloud for data storage, which is hosted in the US, but under EU model contract clauses, which means that data is protected to EU standards. This includes encryption of data in transit and storage. Book Creator acknowledges users’ rights to access, correct, delete or restrict data processing. It complies with the GDPR. See more here.
