Pearltrees is a digital curation tool that helps organise, discover, and share online content in the form of "pearls" arranged in customisable collections called "trees". Users can add web content to their Pearltrees account by dragging and dropping URLs, files, photos, and notes into their collections. They can then organise these items visually, connect related content, and share their collections with others. Pearltrees offers a limited free version, together with an educational mode. It requires creating an account for use. Pearltrees was developed by Patrice Lamothe and others in 2009. Evaluation: Pearltrees is a valuable tool for teachers and students to gather and organise content from the internet and share it with their network. It can also be used for team projects. Pearltrees is somewhat similar to Padlet or Taskcards.

Cost: Free with registration + paid plans available.
