Deutsche Welle is an online platform that broadcasts worldwide news and information from Germany. Their radio and online content is available in 30 different languages. More importantly, Deutsche Welle includes a section offering a wide selection of free resources for German learners and teachers. It is free to use. Creating an account and signing up is required to personalise content preferences, save articles for later reading, or access certain features. Evaluation: Deutsche Welle is a valuable tool for both German teachers and learners since it provides a broad variety of resources for their target language. It can be a way to incorporate real-life materials into the classroom and bolster autonomous learning. The materials are organised by level following the guidelines of the CEFR, making the search for materials easier. An online placement test is also available to help students decide which online resources suit them better. The platform also offers the latest international news in several languages.
