On 23 January 2026, members of the project team continued the dialogue in a research-oriented context during the research seminar « Expériences avec le numérique et l’intelligence artificielle pour l’enseignement-apprentissage des langues », hosted by the University of Rouen Normandie. The seminar provided a rich forum for discussion, bringing together researchers who are engaged in empirical studies on the use of artificial intelligence in language teaching and learning.
During this event, the project team presented the updated French version of the ethical framework underpinning AI use in language education for the first time. The team focused in particular on the ethical principles developed within the ECML AI Lang project, illustrated through lesson design examples from the TRAILS Erasmus+ project. These examples supported collective reflection on how ethical considerations can be operationalised in concrete pedagogical practices.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the seminar organisers, AnaIsabel Ribera Ruiz de Vergara and Frédérique Freund, for the invitation and the excellent organisation of the event.
