“Technology will never replace great teachers, but technology in the hands of great teachers is transformational.” Nowadays when open-access resources, online courses, virtual classrooms and social networks are more and more popular in language education it is important to remember not only how to use digital tools but also why. They give learners access to information, promote interaction and communication as well as enhance their digital literacy skills. For teachers who are ready to review them according to pedagogical criteria they are great source of inspiration for successful teaching. That is why such an initiative as the ICT-REV project is so important. The workshop run in Poland in October 2018 by the ECML experts focused on the use of ICT in support of language teaching and learning. It gave the participants space for self-reflection in this matter and some practical tips on how to develop their teaching skills using new technology.

POLISH VERSION

W ramach współpracy ORE z Europejskim Centrum Języków Nowożytnych w Grazu w dniach 3-4 października br. w Centrum Szkoleniowym ORE w Sulejówku odbyły się warsztaty poświęcone wykorzystywaniu nowoczesnych technologii w nauczaniu i uczeniu się języków obcych. Uczestnikami spotkania byli nauczyciele konsultanci, doradcy metodyczni i pracownicy placówek wspomagania pracy szkół w zakresie edukacji językowej. W części praktycznej spotkania uczestnicy, wspierani przez ekspertów ECML przygotowywali ćwiczenia oraz gotowe konspekty zajęć z wykorzystaniem wybranych narzędzi ICT opisanych w repozytorium (ICT-REV Use of ICT in support of language teaching and learning).
