Screenpal

ScreenPal, formerly Screencast-O-Matic, is a screen recording tool for creating, editing and sharing videos. Screenpal can also capture sound so users can use it to talk over their screen recording. Moreover, Screenpal allows using a web camera simultaneously and adding text, drawings, or even background music. ScreenPal requires downloading. It does not require creating an account, but doing so has many advantages, including the possibility of managing recording recordings by saving, exporting or embedding them. It is owned by Big Nerd Software. Evaluation: ScreenPal is a powerful screen recording tool that allows the creation of video materials, among others. With its voice-over functionality, it is suitable for creating tutorials and presentations, or even lectures and commentaries for students. Its website contains many helpful tutorials for teachers to gain an understanding of how the tool works. Screenpal’s free option has many interesting functionalities that should be enough for classroom use. All in all, Screenpal is a valuable and easy-to-use tool that can be very helpful in creating educational materials. It does not require advanced IT skills, but some time is needed to get familiarised with the tool.

Medium. ScreenPal collects various types of data for different purposes, among which also marketing. Screenpal also collects cookies of different natures and sells aggregated data to third parties. Its privacy policy highlights encryption, password protection, and regular security reviews. It also mentions users' ability to edit their account information and unsubscribe from marketing communications. Moreover, it acknowledges users’ rights to access, modify or erase their data. Playphrase (Tool to find the pronunciation of words from movies )

Playphrase is a tool that searches specific words or phrases out of movie snippets from a database of audiovisual media with over 60,000 phrases. In this manner, it provides real-life examples of words’ and sentences’ pronunciation.
