Showbie

Principal function(s): Course management

Showbie is a course management tool that allows teachers and students to share documents, program, and hand in assignments as well as to communicate easily online. It is possible to access the app through almost any electronic device, as it is available for online use and also as an iOS app. Evaluation: This app has a smart-looking interface and it is quite easy to use. It is possible to create and manage an unlimited number of different classes within the same account and to invite the students to join in. Some advanced features are only available for the premium plans.

Cost: Free with registration for the basic version (without student portfolio or access for parents)

Medium. Showbie collects various types of personal information depending on user roles, such as customers (administrators and teachers), students, and parents. The collected information includes names, email addresses, contact details, payment information, profile pictures, usernames, and other relevant data. The data is used for purposes like providing and maintaining the application and services, notifying users about changes to services, allowing participation in interactive features, customer support, and for analysis to improve services. With the exception of student user data, it may also be used for marketing and advertising. Showbie policy mentions the use of appropriate technical and organisational measures to maintain the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of personal data. Playphrase (Tool to find the pronunciation of words from movies )

Playphrase is a tool that searches specific words or phrases out of movie snippets from a database of audiovisual media with over 60,000 phrases. In this manner, it provides real-life examples of words’ and sentences’ pronunciation.
