ReadWriteThink

ReadWriteThink is an educational website providing peer-reviewed lesson plans, student materials, and interactive activities. Users can access a variety of content, such as the "Student Interactives," which cover a range of topics such as poetry, storytelling, and essay writing. Teachers can integrate these tools into their lesson plans to engage students in language learning. ReadWriteThink is free and does not require signup. It was developed by the International Literacy Association (ILA), the National Council of Teachers of English (NCTE), and the Verizon Foundation. Evaluation: ReadWriteThink is a valuable tool since it offers teacher-made learning materials that cover virtually all disciplines. It can be a time-saving tool for teachers, who can find quality activities suitable for their needs. Moreover, it features guides and tools that can help teachers in their professional development. For parents and pupils, ReadWriteThink features many materials that can be used for autonomous learning or didactic support. Basic IT skills required.

Playphrase is a tool that searches specific words or phrases out of movie snippets from a database of audiovisual media with over 60,000 phrases. In this manner, it provides real-life examples of words’ and sentences’ pronunciation.
