Building blocks for planning language-sensitive teacher education
The Building Blocks are designed for teacher educators and curriculum planners working with teachers of different languages and subjects. They include guidelines and tasks to help ensure that a focus on language-sensitive education is built into teacher education curricula, individual courses and activities related to professional practice so that pre-and in-service teachers develop the competences and awareness needed to respond effectively to their learners’ evolving language-related needs, whatever the subject.
